Pennsylvania 2012 Private Passenger Automobile; Data Call (Act 6 Data Call)

 Each year, the Insurance Department (Department) conducts routine ''Data Calls'' to companies licensed to write motor vehicle insurance in this Commonwealth. Data Calls are used to monitor the auto insurance marketplace and to collect data for statutory reports. On July 26, 2013, the Department sent notification of the Act 6 Data Call to be completed by companies who are licensed to write private passenger automobile insurance in this Commonwealth. The 2012 Data Call letter, instructions and data formats are available on the Department's web site www.insurance.pa.gov.

 Companies with Pennsylvania private passenger automobile direct written premium in 2012 are required to complete Parts 1 and 2. Data for more than one insurance company may not be combined into a single submission. This information is to be submitted to the Department no later than October 15, 2013.

 Insurance Companies with no Pennsylvania private passenger automobile direct written premium in 2012 are required to submit only Part 2. This is to be submitted to the Department no later than October 15, 2013.

 Consistent with previous Data Calls, the Department will consider the data submitted as proprietary and handle the data accordingly. See the instructions for additional information regarding the completion of the individual parts.
