Pennsylvania MONOPOLY Jackpot Instant Lottery game; Change to Game Rules; Amended Notice

[Saturday, March 15, 2014]Under the State Lottery Law (72 P. S. §§ 3761-101—3761-314) and 61 Pa. Code § 819.203 (relating to notice of instant game rules), the Secretary of Revenue hereby provides public notice of changes to the MONOPOLY Jackpot instant lottery game rules that were published at 44 Pa.B. 1100 (February 22, 2014).
This amendment clarifies that if a Pennsylvania winner of the MONOPOLY Jackpot Drawing does not claim their prize within one year of the date of the drawing in which the prize was won, only the portion of the prize that was derived from Pennsylvania Lottery sales will be paid into the State Lottery Fund. The correct version of this document is as follows, with ellipses referring to the existing text as it appeared at 44 Pa.B. 1100—1104:
* * * * * 13. Pennsylvania Lottery's MONOPOLY Jackpot Second-Chance ''Collect and Win'' Game Monthly Jackpot Drawings.
* * * * * (h) Pennsylvania winners of a Monthly Jackpot Drawing must claim their prize within one year of the drawing date of the drawing in which the prize was won. If no claim is made within one year of the date of the drawing in which the prize was won, the right of an entrant toclaim the prize won, if any, will expire and the portion of the prize, derived from Pennsylvania Lottery sales, will be paid into the State Lottery Fund and used for purposes provided by statute.
