Execution of Oil and Gas Lease for Publicly-Owned Streambeds

 Effective January 9, 2015, an Oil and Gas Lease for Publicly-Owned Streambeds, Contract No. M-2102014-08, was executed by and between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Department) (lessor), and Hilcorp Energy I, LP (lessee), with its principal place of business located at 1201 Louisiana Street, Suite 1400, Houston, TX 77002.

 The lease is for Streambed Tract 2014, encompassing approximately 184 acres of submerged lands located in Shenango Township, Mercer County and Union and Neshannock Townships, Lawrence County. A Memorandum of Lease was recorded at the Lawrence County Courthouse on June 9, 2015, document no. 2015-004157. A Memorandum of Lease was recorded at the Mercer County Courthouse on July 20, 2015, file no. 2015-00007014. The lease allows for the development of oil and natural gas below and between the ordinary low water marks of the Shenango River (formerly known as Shenango Creek) solely by means of directional, including horizontal, drilling on a nondevelopment basis that will not disturb the river or its bed.
