FISH AND BOAT COMMISSION
Additions to List of Class A Wild Trout Waters
[46 Pa.B. 1977]
[Saturday, April 16, 2016]The Fish and Boat Commission (Commission) approved the addition of 22 stream sections to its list of Class A Wild Trout Streams as set forth at 46 Pa.B. 532 (January 23, 2016). The Commission also approved the addition of Laurel Run, Clearfield County, from the headwaters to Simeling Run (2.80 miles), as set forth at 45 Pa.B. 6647 (November 14, 2015).
Under 58 Pa. Code § 57.8a (relating to Class A wild trout streams), it is the Commission's policy to manage self-sustaining Class A wild trout populations as a renewable natural resource and to conserve that resource and the angling that it provides. Class A wild trout populations represent the best of this Commonwealth's naturally reproducing trout fisheries.
