[Saturday, October 28, 2017]AMD 54(4124)105.1, Abandoned Mine Reclamation Project, Rausch Creek Treatment Plant Upgrades, Hegins Township, Schuylkill County. The principal items of work and approximate quantities are to replace certain pieces of equipment associated with the Rausch Creek Acid Mine Drainage Treatment Plant. Specifically, the standby generator, polymer mixing and distribution pumping system, and certain components of the plant water system are to be replaced. Much of the old equipment will be demolished and disposed of including the 125-foot-tall elevated 100,000-gallon water storage tank.
This bid issues on October 27, 2017, and bids will be opened on November 30, 2017, at 2 p.m. Bid documents, including drawings in PDF format and Auto-Cad Map 3D format, may be downloaded for free beginning on the issue date from the Department of Environmental Protection by going to www.BidExpress.com. This project is financed by the Federal government under the authority given it by the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (act) (30 U.S.C.A. §§ 1201—1328) and is subject to the act and to the Federal grant for this project.
