[48 Pa.B. 2346]
[Saturday, April 21, 2018]The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) announces the availability of grant funding for projects that reduce or minimize pollution, improve water quality and protect clean water in the 85 municipalities along the length of the Mariner East 2 (MEII) pipeline. The source of funding for the grants is the $12.6 million civil penalty collected from Sunoco Pipeline, LLP related to construction of the MEII pipeline.
Proposed projects must be physically located within 1 or more of the 85 municipalities, although applicants may be from outside of the municipal boundaries. Projects that provide direct and significant benefits to water quality and local communities will be prioritized for funding.

Eligible applicants can apply through the Commonwealth Electronic Single Application web site. Applications may be submitted on or after May 7, 2018, and will be accepted until June 20, 2018. Late submissions will not be considered. Faxes and e-mails will not be accepted.
