Hospitals; Requests for Exceptions

 The following hospitals are requesting exceptions under 28 Pa. Code § 153.1 (relating to minimum standards). Requests for exceptions under this section relate to minimum standards that hospitals must comply with under the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities—2014 Edition (Guidelines). The following list includes the citation to the section under the Guidelines that the hospital is seeking an exception.

Nazareth Hospital 2.2-2.6.2.6 (relating to toilet rooms or human waste disposal rooms)
Saint Vincent Hospital 2.2-3.1.3.6(8)(a) (relating to treatment rooms or areas (location of human decontamination areas))
2.2-3.1.6.1(4) (relating to administrative centers or nurse stations)
2.2-3.4.6.4(2) (relating to pre-procedure patient care and observation spaces)

 All previously listed requests are on file with the Department of Health (Department). Persons may receive a copy of a request for exception by requesting a copy from the Department of Health, Division of Acute and Ambulatory Care, Room 532, Health and Welfare Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120, (717) 783-8980, fax (717) 772-2163, ra-paexcept@pa.gov. Persons who wish to comment on an exception request may do so by sending a letter by mail, e-mail or facsimile to the Division at the previously listed address. Comments received by the Department within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice will be reviewed by the Department before it decides whether to approve or disapprove the request for exception.
