National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Performance Evaluation of the Pennsylvania Coastal Resources Management Program; Public Meeting and Availability of Public Comment Period

[Saturday, October 26, 2019]This notice is published under the Federal Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 (CZMA) (16 U.S.C.A. §§ 1451—1466) (15 CFR Part 923 (relating to Coastal Zone Management Program regulations)) as amended. Section 312 of the CZMA (16 U.S.C.A. § 1458) requires the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to conduct periodic evaluations of the performance of states and territories with Federally approved coastal management programs. Accordingly, this review by NOAA evaluates the operation and management of the Department of Environmental Protection's (Department) Coastal Resources Management Program in addressing the coastal management needs identified in section 303(2)(A)—(K) of the CZMA (16 U.S.C.A. § 1452(2)(A)—(K)) for the period of September 2010 through December 2018.
Public Meeting
A public meeting will be held by NOAA as part of its Federal CZMA section 312 performance evaluation of the Department's Coastal Resources Management Program. The purpose of the public meeting is to receive comments regarding the operation and implementation of the Department's Federally approved Coastal Resources Management Program. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the Ridley Township Marina, 500 North Lane, Ridley Park, PA 19078.
Public Comment Period
Interested persons are invited to submit written comments no later than Thursday, December 12, 2019. All comments, including comments submitted by e-mail, must include the originator's name and address. Comments submitted by facsimile will not be accepted. Participation at the public meeting is not required for submission of comments.
