Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Community Prevention Planning Committee; Virtual Public Meetings

[Saturday, April 24, 2021]The Statewide HIV Planning Group, established by the Department of Health (Department) under sections 301(a) and 317 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C.A. §§ 241(a) and 247b), will hold virtual public meetings by means of Microsoft Teams on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Participants can access the virtual public meetings through the following options:
1. To join by computer, contact Kyle Fait at c-kyfait@pa.gov to request a link for the virtual public meeting the individual wants to join. This will connect the individual to the virtual public meeting on their computer. Individuals who have a camera and microphone on their computer, can access the virtual public meeting through the provided link.
2. Individuals who need to connect by phone should dial (412) 648-8888 and enter the meeting ID which is listed as follows:

Jurisdictional HIV prevention planning is a required activity of the Department's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Integrated HIV Surveillance and Prevention Programs for Health Departments grant. Additionally, the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (Pub.L. No. 111-87), previously known as the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C.A. §§ 300ff-21—300ff-38), requiresthat the Department engage in a public advisory planning process in developing a comprehensive plan. The purpose of these meetings is to conduct an integrated prevention and care HIV planning process by which the Department works in partnership with the community and stakeholders to enhance access to HIV prevention, care and treatment services.
