Tuition Calculation for Alcohol Recovery Schools

[Saturday, July 10, 2021]Under section 1405-A of the Public School Code of 1949 (code) (24 P.S. § 14-1405-A), the Department of Education (Department) has calculated the tuition rate for use in the alcohol recovery school identified by the Department.
The 2018-2019 final adjusted per-student tuition rate was calculated by multiplying the tuition rate legislated under section 1405-A of the code ($20,000) by the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the 12-month period ending September 30, 2017, of 2.2%.
The Department has established a 2018-2019 final adjusted per-student tuition rate of $20,400 for the alcohol recovery school identified by the Department.
The 2019-2020 final adjusted per-student tuition rate was calculated by multiplying the 2018-2019 preliminary adjusted per-student tuition rate ($20,440) by the CPI for the 12-month period ending September 30, 2018, of 2.3%.
The Department has established a 2019-2020 final adjusted per-student tuition rate of $20,900 for the alcohol recovery school identified by the Department.
The 2020-2021 final adjusted per-student tuition rate was calculated by multiplying the 2019-2020 preliminary adjusted per-student tuition rate ($20,910.12) by the CPI for the 12-month period ending September 30, 2019, of 1.7%.
The Department has established a 2020-2021 final adjusted per-student tuition rate of $21,300 for the alcohol recovery school identified by the Department.
The 2021-2022 final adjusted per-student tuition rate was calculated by multiplying the 2020-2021 preliminary adjusted per-student tuition rate ($21,265.59) by the CPI for the 12-month period ending September 30, 2020, of 1.4%.
The Department has established a 2021-2022 final adjusted per-student tuition rate of $21,600 for the alcohol recovery school identified by the Department.
