INSURANCE DEPARTMENT
Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau Filing No. 325
[51 Pa.B. 6887]
[Saturday, October 30, 2021]On October 14, 2021, the Insurance Department received from the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau (Bureau or PCRB) a filing that will impact employers currently assigned to Classification 673, Advertising Sign Manufacture, Erection or Repair.
PCRB Filing No. 325 proposes that Classification 673 be revised to allow an employer engaged in both the manufacture and installation of signs to separately rate the manufacturing payroll to the applicable manufacturing classification. The filing identifies four classifications to which this payroll is expected to be reassigned and notes that each has a lower loss cost than Classification 673.
Under the proposal, employers would be required to maintain separate payroll records for the manufacturing and installation work, otherwise, the entire payroll would be subject to the applicable classification with the highest rate.
PCRB Filing No. 325 is available for review on the Bureau's web site at www.pcrb.com in the ''Filings'' section under ''Featured Products.''
Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections by means of e-mail to Shannon Kost, Insurance Department, Office of Insurance Product Regulation, skost@pa.gov, within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
