Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric Grid Public Meeting

 The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) will hold a virtual public meeting regarding section 40101 of the Federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric Grid formula grant program. This program will provide approximately $8.1 million annually through 2026 to the Department to improve the resilience of the electric grid against disruptive events.

 The virtual public meeting is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, for the purpose of soliciting public input for the Department's plan to apply for a yearly allocation of approximately $8.1 million to strengthen this Commonwealth's electric grid against extreme weather and other natural disasters that are exacerbated by climate change.

 Interested persons may attend the virtual public meeting by following the Microsoft Teams link or call-in details provided at www.dep.pa.gov/iija.
