Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

 The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission). Formal protests, petitions to intervene and answers must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities) on or before September 12, 2022. Filings are recommended to be made electronically through eFiling to the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, 400 North Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120, with a copy served on the applicant by September 12, 2022. Individuals can sign up for a free eFiling account with the Secretary of the Commission through the Commission's eFiling system at https://www.puc.pa.gov/efiling/Default.aspx. A protest shall indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application, the permanent authority application, or both. Protests may only be filed if there is evidence that the applicant lacks fitness. Protests based on endangering or impairing operations of an existing carrier will not be honored. The documents filed in support of the application are only available for inspection through the Commission's web site at www.puc.pa.gov by searching under the previously listed docket number or by searching the applicant's web site.

Applications of the following for approval to begin operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

A-2022-3033935. Swift Tri State Courier and Transport, LLC, t/a Swift Tri State (26 Hamilton Street, Rankin, Allegheny County, PA 15104) for the right to begin to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in call or demand service, between points in Allegheny County.

A-2022-3034260. Petra General Trading, LLC, t/a Safe Trips Transportation (4099 William Penn Highway, Suite # 614, Monroeville, Allegheny County, PA 15146) for the right to begin to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in paratransit service, between points in the Counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington, Westmoreland and from points in Allegheny County to points in Pennsylvania, and return.

Application of the following for the approval of the right and privilege to discontinue/abandon operating as common carriers by motor vehicle and for cancellation of the certificate of public convenience as described under the application.

A-2022-3034364, A-6416671. Special Event EMS, Inc., t/a Mid-State Mobile Health Partners (P.O. Box 434, Enola, Cumberland County, PA 17025) for the discontinuance of service and cancellation of its certificate, to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, limited to persons who are ill or injured, in paratransit service, from points in the Counties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Perry and York, to points in Pennsylvania and return, subject to the following restrictions and limitations: (i) transportation shall be to and from healthcare facilities and physicians' offices in wheelchair equipped vans; and (ii) no right, power or privilege is sought, or shall be granted to provide any service originating in the Counties of Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming and Montour, the Borough of Riverside, Northumberland County, the Townships of Nescopeck and Salem and the Borough of Nescopeck in Luzerne County.
