Availability of Fiscal-Year Report for the Reclamation Fee O & M Trust Account

[Saturday, September 17, 2022]The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) announces the availability of the draft Fiscal-Year Report (report) for the Reclamation Fee O & M Trust Account. This account was established to provide funds for the operation and maintenance of mine drainage treatment facilities at mine sites with post-mining discharges at Alternate Bonding System Legacy Sites as defined in 25 Pa. Code § 86.1 (relating to definitions). As required by the regulations in 25 Pa. Code § 86.17(e) (relating to permit and reclamation fees) this report contains a financial analysis of the revenue and expenditures from the account for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-2022 and provides projections for the FY 2022-2023.
The draft report is available on the Department's web site at www.ahs.dep.pa.gov/eComment.
The Department will accept comments on the draft report through Monday, October 10, 2022. Commentators are encouraged to submit comments using the Department's online eComment tool at www.ahs.dep.pa.gov/eComment or by e-mail to ecomment@pa.gov.
