TURNPIKE COMMISSION
Draft National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Pollution Reduction Plans for the Turnpike Commission
[52 Pa.B. 6129]
[Saturday, September 24, 2022]The Turnpike Commission (Commission) will receive public comments on three proposed Pollution Reduction Plans (PRP) required for their 2021—2026 National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System individual permit to discharge stormwater from small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) permit No. PAI139602.
The Commission has developed PRPs for the Chesapeake Bay, Delaware River and Ohio River watersheds. The PRPs determine existing sediment pollutant loadings associated with stormwater runoff and propose potential best management practices to reduce the pollutant loads to meet the requirements of the MS4 permit for each watershed.
The proposed PRPs can be reviewed online at https://www.paturnpike.com/responsibility-matters/clean-water, select ''MS4'' at the top of the page then navigate to ''MS4 Documentation'' under ''MS4 Resources.''
Written comments on the PRPs will be accepted for a period of 30 days from the date of this public notice to James Kaiser, Turnpike Commission, 700 South Eisenhower Boulevard, Middletown, PA 17057, jkaiser@paturnpike.com. Comments will be tabulated and considered with the final PRPs.
