Contemplated Sale of Land No Longer Needed for Transportation Purposes

[Saturday, October 15, 2022]The Department of Transportation (Department), under the Sale of Transportation Lands Act (71 P.S. §§ 1381.1—1381.3), intends to sell certain land owned by the Department.
The following property is available for sale by the Department.
State Route 0022 Sec 494, Parcel Nos. 53 and 54 combined, Parcel 53—Tax ID # 41-004-118 and Parcel 54—Tax ID # 41-005-121.1, located in West Wheatfield Township, Indiana County. The two parcels contain approximately ± 42,009.88 square feet or ± 0.96 acre of unimproved land situated at Station 473 + 17.25 LT to Station 479 + 00 LT traveling eastbound on Route 22, identified in the RW plan State Route 0022 Seg 494. The property will be sold in as is condition. The property is encumbered with an encroachment of fencing and livestock. The estimated fair market value of the parcels is $7,700. It has been determined that the land is no longer needed for present or future transportation purposes.
Interested public agencies are invited to express their interest in purchasing the site within 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice to Kevin D. Pollino, Right-of-Way Administrator, Department of Transportation, Engineering District 10-0, 2550 Oakland Avenue, Indiana, PA 15701-3388.
