Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

[Saturday, January 13, 2024]The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission). Formal protests, petitions to intervene and answers must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities) on or before January 29, 2024. Filings must be made electronically through eFiling to the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, 400 North Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120, with a copy served on the applicant by January 29, 2024. Individuals can sign up for a free eFiling account with the Secretary of the Commission through the Commission's eFiling system at https://www.puc.pa. gov/efiling/Default.aspx. A protest shall indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application, the permanent authority application, or both. Protests may only be filed if there is evidence that the applicant lacks fitness. Protests based on endangering or impairing operations of an existing carrier will not be honored. The documents filed in support of the application are only available for inspection through the Commission's web site at www.puc.pa.gov by searching under the listed docket number as follows or by searching the applicant's web site.
Applications of the following for approval to begin operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.
A-2023-3044530. The Bella Transportation Corp. (865 Liberty Court, Hazle Township, Luzerne County, PA 18202) for the right to begin to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in paratransit service, from points in the City of Hazleton, Luzerne County and Township of West Hazelton, Luzerne County, to Hazleton Area School District Schools, and vice versa.
A-2023-3044838. Sterling-Distinctive Limousine Services, LLC (9344 Stottlemyer Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713) persons in group and party service, in vehicles seating between 11 and 15 passengers, including the driver, from points in the Counties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York, to points in Pennsylvania; excluding areas under the jurisdiction of the Philadelphia Parking Authority.
A-2023-3044904. A Caring Heart Home Health Care, LLC (6301 Forbes Avenue, Suite 120, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA 15217) for the right to begin to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in nonemergency medical paratransit service, between points in Allegheny County.
A-2023-3045049. Elite Rides Limo Service, LLC, t/a Elite Rides (561 Quail Ridge Lane, Stroudsburg, Monroe County, PA 18360) to transport, as a common carrier, by motor vehicle, persons in limousine service, from points in the Counties of Adams, Berks, Bradford, Bucks, Centre, Chester, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Luzerne, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montgomery, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, Wyoming and York, to points in Pennsylvania, and return; excluding areas under the jurisdiction of the Philadelphia Parking Authority.
Application of the following for the approval of the right and privilege to discontinue/abandon operating as common carriers by motor vehicle and for cancellation of the certificate of public convenience as described under the application.
A-2023-3045161. Heimax Excursions, LLC (237 Cornfield Circle, Lewistown, Mifflin County, PA 17044) discontinuance of service and cancellation of its certificate to transport persons, in paratransit service, from points in Huntingdon, Juniata and Mifflin Counties, to points in Pennsylvania, and return.
