Petition of Philadelphia Gas Works Requesting a Declaratory Order Regarding Termination of Service for Nonpayment of Undisputed Gas Bills by Landlord Ratepayers; Doc. No. P-2024-3050535

[Saturday, August 24, 2024]On August 2, 2024, Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission) a petition of PGW requesting a declaratory order regarding termination of service for nonpayment of undisputed gas bills by landlord ratepayers (Petition). Specifically, PGW requests that the Commission ''remove uncertainty regarding the right and obligation of PGW to take collection action, including terminating gas service, if necessary, for nonpayment of undisputed gas bills for service provided to the properties and residential rental buildings owned, rented and/or managed by 'landlord ratepayers' where the landlord ratepayers have a pending, unrelated complaint(s) before the Commission.''
In accordance with 52 Pa. Code §§ 5.61—5.66 (relating to answers), answers and petitions to intervene must be filed and served at this docket on or before 30 days1 after this notice is published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin, and replies must be filed and served at this docket on or before 50 days after this notice is published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
Filings must be made with the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, 400 North Street, 2nd Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17120, with a copy served on counsel for PGW.
