Contemplated Sale of Land No Longer Needed for Transportation Purposes

[Saturday, September 14, 2024]The Department of Transportation (Department), under the Sale of Transportation Lands Act (71 P.S. §§ 1381.1—1381.3), intends to sell certain land owned by the Department.
The following property is available for sale by the Department.
State Route 0030-016, Parcel No. 5, Tax ID 10-0D05J.-020-EX0000, Guilford Township, Franklin County. This parcel contains approximately 0.4493 acres of unimproved land situated on Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA.
This property will be sold in as-is condition. The estimated fair market value of the parcel is $140,000. It has been determined that the land is no longer needed for present or future transportation purposes.
Interested public entities are invited to express their interest in purchasing the property within 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice to the Department of Transportation, Attn: Edward Hartman, Property Manager, PENNDOT Engineering District 8-0, 2140 Herr Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103, edhartman@pa.gov, (717) 783-5149.
