University of Pittsburgh Medical Center; Certificate of Authority
[26 Pa.B. 1601] On February 28, 1996, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center filed with the Departments of Health and Insurance, an application for a Certificate of Authority to establish, operate and maintain a health maintenance organization in accordance with the provisions of the Health Maintenance Organization Act (40 P. S. §§ 1551--1567), Department of Health HMO Regulations (28 Pa. Code §§ 9.1--9.97) and the Department of Insurance HMO Regulations (31 Pa. Code §§ 301.1--301.204).
The proposed service area of the applicant is Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
A copy of the application is available for public inspection by appointment only at the following locations: Department of Health, Bureau of Health Care Financing, Room 1030 Health and Welfare Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120, (717) 787-5193; or Insurance Department, 1345 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, (717) 787-2735.
Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections within 30 days of the publication of this notice, to Lori Eshenour, Department of Health or Carolyn Smith, Insurance Department at the above listed addresses.
