Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania; Non- Group Rate Increase; Filing No. 318-BCNG-1/98

   Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania submitted a filing requesting the Insurance Department's approval to increase the monthly rates by 16.70% for the Blue Cross Non-Group Program for an effective date of January 1, 1998. The proposed rate increase will affect about 6,300 policy holders and produce an additional annual premium income of $1.5 million.

   Copies are available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Insurance Department's Office in Harrisburg.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Bharat Patel, Insurance Department, Office of Rate and Policy Regulation, Bureau of Accident and Health Insurance, 1311 Straw-berry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
