Southcentral Regional Office: Regional Water Management Program Manager, 909 Elmerton Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110-8200, (717) 705-4707.The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) has developed a proposed Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for low flow conditions and will be submitting the TMDL to the United States EPA for review and approval under 40 CFR 130.7(d) of the Federal regulations. The TMDL is for BOD, TSS, dioxin, chloroform, color and temperature for Codorus Creek. The draft permit described as follows for a discharge to the stream segment is based on the proposed TMDL. The data used in the development of the TMDL and the permit are documented in the Department's fact sheet for the permit.
The Department is requesting public comments and will consider all comments received within 30 days of the publication of this notice. The EPA also will use the comments in making its approval or denial determination on the Department's request for the TMDL.
