Application for Merger
[31 Pa.B. 491] An Application has been received requesting approval of the merger of United Pacific Insurance Company, a stock casualty insurer organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with and into Reliance Insurance Company, a stock property insurance company organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The filing was made under the requirements set forth under the Insurance Holding Companies Act (40 P. S. § 991.1401 et seq.), sections 1921--1932 of the Business Corporation Law (15 Pa.C.S. §§ 1921--1932) and the GAA Amendments Act of 1990 (15 P. S. §§ 21205--21207). Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest in this merger are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department within 7 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include the name, address and telephone number of the interested party, identification of the application to which the statement is addressed, and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement.
