Penn Treaty Network America Insurance Company; Rate Increase Filing for Long Term Care Policy Forms: PF2600, LTCTP-6500, 2400, LTCTP-6000, IL2, LTCTP-6700, IL94, LTC94 and LTC91
[31 Pa.B. 6006] Penn Treaty Network America (PTNA) is requesting approval to increase the premium an aggregate 33% for the Comprehensive Long Term Care Policy Forms PF2600, LTCTP-6500 and the associated riders. The average premium for the 2600/6500 Series will increase from $1,413 to $1,885 and will affect 9,032 Commonwealth policyholders. The requested rate increase for the 2600 Series ranges from 237% for issue ages less than 50 to 14% for issue age 89. The requested rate increase for the 6500 Series ranges from 253% for issue ages less than 50 to 20% for issue age 89.
PTNA is requesting approval to increase the premium 35% for the Long Term Care Policy Forms 2400, LTCTP-6000 and the associated riders. The average premium for the 2400/6000 Series will increase from $1,413 to $1,907 and will affect 6,699 Commonwealth policyholders.
PTNA is requesting approval to increase the premium 15% for the Home Health Policy Forms IL2, LTCTP-6700 and the associated riders. The average premium for the IL2/6700 Series will increase from $1,164 to $1,339 and will affect 2,855 Commonwealth policyholders.
PTNA is requesting approval to increase the premium 25% for the Home Health Policy Form IL94 and the associated riders. The average premium for the IL94 Series will increase from $1,077 to $1,346 and will affect 2,628 Commonwealth policyholders.
PTNA is requesting approval to increase the premium 40% for the Comprehensive Long Term Care Policy Form LTC94 and the associated riders. The average premium for the LTC94 Series will increase from $1,564 to $2,190 and will affect 109 Commonwealth policyholders.
PTNA is requesting approval to increase the premium 40% for the Long Term Care Policy Form LTC91 and the associated riders. The average premium for the LTC91 Series will increase from $1,362 to $1,907 and will affect 2,230 Commonwealth policyholders.
Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's regional offices in Harrisburg.
