Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications
[33 Pa.B. 2567] The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Formal protests and petitions to intervene must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities). A protest shall indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application, the permanent authority application, or both. Filings must be made with the Secretary, Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, P. O. Box 3265, Harrisburg, PA 17105-3265 with a copy served on the applicant on or before June 16, 2003. Documents filed in support of the applications are available for inspection and copying at the Office of the Secretary between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at the business address of the respective applicant.
Application of the following for amendment to the certificate of public convenience approving the operation of motor vehicles as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under the application.
A-00110899, Folder 1, Am-A. Tropiano Airport Shuttle, Inc. (401 Dreshertown Road, Dresher, Montgomery County, PA 19025), a Pennsylvania corporation--persons, in airport transfer service, from points in the Counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery, to the Philadelphia International Airport, in the City and County of Philadelphia and the Township of Tinicum, Delaware County; subject to the following conditions: (a) that no right, power or privilege is granted to perform transportation: (1) to or from the Townships of Radnor, Marple and Haverford, Delaware County, the Township of Lower Merion, Montgomery County and the Philadelphia International Airport in the City and County of Philadelphia and the Township of Tinicum, Delaware County; and (2) from points in that portion of the Townships of Tredyffrin, Chester County and Radnor, Delaware County, bounded by beginning at the intersection of Lancaster Pike (U. S. Highway Route 30) and Valley Forge Road, thence southeastwardly along Valley Forge Road to its intersection with Sugartown Road to its intersection with Lancaster Pike (U. S. Highway Route 30) to the point of beginning, including points on the aforesaid boundaries, to the Philadelphia International Airport, in the City and County of Philadelphia and the Township of Tinicum, Delaware County and vice versa; (b) that no right, power or privilege is granted to perform transportation to or from the Borough of Malvern and the Townships of Willistown and East Whiteland, Chester County and the Borough of Media and the Township of Newtown, Delaware County; (c) that no right, power or privilege is granted to provide service to or from those points in Chester County south of a line extending along Route 926 (Street Road) beginning at the Delaware County/Chester County line and extending westerly to the intersection of Routes 926 and 10, thence southerly on Route 10 to the intersection of Routes 10 and 896 and thence westerly on Route 896 to the Chester County/Lancaster County line and to or from those points in Delaware County in the Townships of Birmingham, Thornbury, Concord, Bethel, Upper Chichester, Lower Chichester and the Borough of Marcus Hook: So As To Permit the transportation of persons in airport transfer service from points in the City and County of Philadelphia; the Townships of East Whiteland, Easttown, Tredyffrin and Willistown and the Borough of Malvern, Chester County; the Townships of Haverford, Marple Newtown and Radnor, Delaware County, to the Philadelphia International Airport, in the City and County of Philadelphia and the Township of Tinicum, Delaware County and to the Lehigh Valley International Airport in Lehigh County. Application for temporary authority has been filed at A-000110899, Folder 1, Am-A, seeking the following right: to transport persons in airport transfer service from: the Wayne Hotel, in the Township of Radnor, Delaware County; the Devon Courtyard by Marriott, in the Township of Tredyffrin, Chester County; and the Radnor Hotel, in the Township of Radnor, Delaware County, to the Philadelphia International Airport, in the City and County of Philadelphia and the Township of Tinicum, Delaware County.
