Stream Redesignation Evaluation; Water Quality Standards Review
[34 Pa.B. 2644] Under 25 Pa. Code § 93.4d (relating to processing of petitions, evaluations and assessments to change a designated use), the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) gives notice that an evaluation will be conducted on the following stream section to determine the proper aquatic life use designation in the Commonwealth's water quality standards. Persons who have technical data concerning the water quality, instream habitat or biological condition of this stream section are encouraged to make it available to the Department for consideration in the assessment. This assessment may lead to a recommendation to the Environmental Quality Board (Board) for redesignation.

O. Box 8467, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8467, rofrey@state.pa.us. Data should be submitted by June 14, 2004. Questions concerning these evaluations should be directed to Bob Frey, (717) 787-9637.
This assessment is being conducted in response to a rulemaking petition submitted to the Board by the Clarion River Petitioners. This portion of the main stem of the Clarion River is currently designated Cold Water Fishes. The petitioners are requesting redesignation to Warm Water Fishes.
