2006-1 The Legislative Budget and Finance Committee is seeking a contractor to conduct a comprehensive study of various aspects of colorectal cancer screening. This study is to: (a) study the effectiveness and costs of colorectal cancer screening; (b) review the probability associated with developing colorectal cancer, market capacity to provide needed services among other issues; and (c) review medical journals and solicit input from medical experts, the business community and the insurance community. The specific requirements are set forth in Senate Resolution 212. Prior experience studying health issues, treatment approaches and health costs is highly desirable. To be considered, proposals must arrive at the offices of the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee on or before close of business (4:30 PM), March 10, 2006.
