Lincoln Benefit Life Insurance Company; Rate Increase Filing for Several LTC Forms; Rate Filing

[Saturday, August 18, 2007]Lincoln Benefit Life is requesting approval to increase the premium an average of 31% on the following Long-Term Care policy forms: LB-6301-P-PA(Q), LB-6301-P-PA(NQ), LB-6302-P-PA(Q), LB-6302-P-PA(NQ), LB-6303-P-PA(Q), LB-6303-P-PA(NQ), LB-6304-P-PA(Q), LB-6304-P-PA(NQ), LB-6305-P-PA(Q), LB-6305-P-PA(NQ), LB-6306-P-PA(Q) and LB-6306-P-PA(NQ). A total of 983 Pennsylvania policyholders will be affected by this rate adjustment. The company wants to make three rate adjustments on these forms: the first increase which averages 31% will occur in 2007, the second increase of 25% is scheduled for 2010 and the third increase of 22% is scheduled for 2013.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to November 1, 2007, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

Copies of the filing are also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's Harrisburg office in Harrisburg.
