AF&L Insurance Company; Rate Increase Filing for LTC Policy Form NHP and Rider RPB; Rate Filing

[Saturday, May 3, 2008]AF&L Insurance Company is requesting approval to increase the premium 200% on Long-Term Care policy form NHP. The company is requesting a 500% increase on the return-of-premium rider RPB when the rider is attached to the NHP policy. A total of 401 Pennsylvania residents hold NHP policies while 165 of the NHP policyholders also have the RPB rider.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to July 16, 2008, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

Copies of the filing are also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's Harrisburg office.
