[Saturday, November 8, 2008]On October 20, 2008, the Insurance Department (Department) received from Farmington Casualty Company, The Automobile Insurance Company of Hartford, Connecticut, The Charter Oak Fire Insurance Company, The Phoenix Insurance Company, The Travelers Indemnity Company and The Travelers Indemnity Company of America a filing for a rate level and rule change for homeowners insurance.
The companies request an overall 2.87% increase amounting to $4,736,783 annually, to be effective February 26, 2009, for renewal business only.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to November 19, 2008, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
