Delegation of Additional Authority Regarding Vehicle Age Requirements; Doc. No. P-00072274

[Saturday, February 16, 2008]The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission) at its May 30, 2007, public meeting delegated an additional routine ministerial and nonpolicymaking matter to its staff for disposition. In particular, the Commission ordered the following:
''That, in regard to vehicle age requirements at 52 Pa. Code §§ 29.314(d) and 29.333(e), the Bureau of Transportation and Safety is hereby given authority to approve/disapprove inspection requests, to schedule and conduct inspections and to grant or deny waivers.''Accordingly, this matter will addressed by Secretarial Letter. The staff's action may be appealed to the Commission by filing a petition within 20 days after service of notice of the action, unless a different time period is specified. See 52 Pa. Code § 5.44 (relating to petitions for appeal from actions of the staff).
