Highmark Health Insurance Company; Individual Conversion PPO Rates; Rate Filing

[Saturday, August 25, 2012]By filing No. 1A-CONV/PPO-12-HHIC, HM Health Insurance Company, d/b/a Highmark Health Insurance Company, requests approval to increase its premium rates for its HHIC Individual Conversion PPO. The filing requests an average increase of 9.5% or $63.25 per contract per month. The proposed rate increase would affect approximately 2,074 contract holders and would produce additional revenue of about $1.57 million annually. The requested effective date of the change is February 1, 2013.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to November 8, 2012, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

A copy of the filing is also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's Harrisburg office.
