Medical Assistance Fee Schedule; Change in Enrollment Service Fee in the Medical Assistance Aging Waiver

[Saturday, January 26, 2013]The purpose of this notice is to announce a Medical Assistance (MA) fee schedule rate change for the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) enrollment service in the Aging Waiver. In accordance with 55 Pa. Code § 52.45(a) and (b) (relating to fee schedule rates), the Department of Public Welfare (Department) is announcing this change effective upon publication in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
Background
A rate-setting methodology for HCBS fee schedule rates was published at 42 Pa.B. 3343 (June 9, 2012). The Department also published at 42 Pa.B. 3811 (June 30, 2012) the addition of the procedure code and MA fee-schedule rate for the HCBS enrollment service in the Aging Waiver. The Department is revising this rate across all four regions of the State as follows:

Fiscal Impact
The fiscal impact of this change is estimated at $0.157 million ($0.085 million in State funds) in Fiscal Year 2012-2013.
Public Comment
Interested persons are invited to submit written comments regarding this notice within 30 days of its publication to the Department at the Office of Long-Term Living, 555 Walnut Street, Fifth Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17101-1919. Comments can also be sent to RA-oltlstream lining@pa.gov. Comments will be considered in subsequent revisions to the MA Program Fee Schedule.
