Transfer of Existing Cases from Magisterial District Court 53-3-03 to Magisterial District Court 53-3-04 and 53-3-01; No. 90171 of 2017, A.D.

Administrative Order And Now, this 6th day of October, 2017, in accordance with Pennsylvania Rule of Judicial Administration No. 65(B)(6), it is hereby Ordered and Decreed that all filings originating in Hickory Township, Plain Grove Township, Scott Township, Shenango Township, Washington Township and South New Castle Boro, the venue of Magisterial District Court (MDC) 53-3-03, shall be transferred to and heard in Magisterial District Court (MDC) 53-3-04. Filings in Slippery Rock Township, also MDC 53-3-03, shall be transferred to and heard in Magisterial District Court (MDC) 53-3-01. Payments may continue to be made at the MDC 53-3-03 office until 10:00 a.m. on November 29, 2017, after which time all payments must be made at the MDC 53-3-04 office, with the exception of cases originating in Slippery Rock Township payments for which must be made at the MDC 53-3-01 office. The MDC 53-3-03 office shall close as of the close of business on November 29, 2017.
The effective date for the previously listed change of venue shall be November 1, 2017.
The Prothonotary shall exit this Order to all Lawrence County Judges; all Lawrence County Magisterial District Court Judges, all Lawrence County Commissioners; James Gagliano; Court Administration; David Gettings, County Controller; the District Attorney of Lawrence County; the Public Defender of Lawrence County; and the Police Departments of each of the previously named municipalities in MDC 53-3-03.
The Lawrence County District Court Administrator is Ordered and Directed to do the following:
1. File one (1) copy with the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.
2. File two (2) paper copies and one (1) electronic copy in a Microsoft Word format only to bulletin@palrb.us with the Legislative Reference Bureau for publication in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
3. Publish the Order on the Lawrence County Court website at www.co.lawrence.pa.us, and in the Lawrence County Law Journal and the New Castle News.
4. File one (1) copy of the local rule with the Lawrence County Law Library and the Office of the County Commissioners for public inspection and copying.
