The principal items of work and approximate quantities include: mobilization and demobilization; site preparation and restoration; treatment plant discharge piping, 18-inch HDPE pipe 2,645 linear feet; Vampire Road waterline extension, PVC pipe (main) 7,200 linear feet; Vampire Road waterline extension, Wilkinson service line 1,800 linear feet; Vampire Road waterline extension, individual service lines 4,600 linear feet; raw mine water pipelines, 12-inch HDPE pipe and fittings 7,800 linear feet; sludge conveyance pipelines, HDPE pipe and fittings 4,050 linear feet; extraction wells complete, Cresson No. 9 extraction well—complete; extraction wells complete, Gallitzin shaft well 2A, extraction well—complete; extraction wells complete, Gallitzin shaft well 2B, extraction well—complete; injection wells complete, SW1B injection well—complete; injection wells complete, SW2E injection well—complete; injection wells complete, SW3E injection well—complete; injection wells complete, TCIW water injection well—complete; treatment plant facilities, Area # 1, clarifying facilities, foundation and wall work; treatment plant facilities, Area # 1, clarifying facilities, clarifier internals; treatment plant facilities, Area # 2, decarbonation system, decarbonation unit; treatment plant facilities, Area # 3, peroxide system (package unit); treatment plant facilities, Area # 3, lime slurry feed system (package unit); facilities lighting, electrical, power; facilities control and processing; facilities training, startup and operation; and facilities warranty period.

 This bid issues on February 10, 2017, and bids will be opened on April 6, 2017, at 2 p.m. There is a mandatory prebid conference scheduled for February 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. Representatives from the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) will meet the contractors at the Department's Cambria Office of Mine Safety, 310 Industrial Park Road, Ebensburg, PA 15931. Departmental staff will also be available to conduct an optional field tour of the various work sites included in the project after the prebid conference. Failure to attend the prebid conference will be cause for rejection of the bid.
