Adoption of Subpart B of the Federal Requirements for Long-Term Care Facilities, 42 CFR 483.1—483.95 (relating to Requirements for Long Term Care Facilities) Revised as of November 22, 2017, as Licensing Regulations for Long-Term Care Nursing Facilities

 Notice is hereby given that in carrying out its licensure responsibilities under the Health Care Facilities Act (35 P.S. §§ 448.101—448.904b) and the long-term care nursing facility regulations, the Department of Health (Department) is operating under Centers for Medicare & Medicaid regulations updated as of November 22, 2017. The Department has applied these requirements to all long-term care nursing facilities during the survey process since November 2017, when the ''State Operations Manual Appendix PP—Guidance to Surveyors for Long Term Care Facilities, effective November 22, 2017'' was adopted.
