Execution of First Amendment to Oil and Gas Lease for Publicly-Owned Streambeds

 Effective May 26, 2022, a First Amendment to Oil and Gas Lease for Publicly-Owned Streambeds, Contract No. M-2102041-11, was executed by and between the Commonwealth, acting through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Department) (lessor), and SWN Production Company, LLC (lessee), with its principal place of business located at 10000 Energy Drive, Spring, TX 77389.

 The lease is for Streambed Tract 2041 on the Susquehanna River, encompassing a total of 176 acres of submerged lands located in Great Bend Township, Susquehanna County. The lease was recorded at the Susquehanna County Courthouse on June 29, 2022, instrument No. 2022-05543. The lease allows for the development of oil and natural gas below and between the ordinary low water marks of the Susquehanna River solely by means of directional, including horizontal, drilling on a nondevelopment basis that will not disturb the river or its bed.
