Fertilizer Terms and Definitions

 Under 3 Pa.C.S. § 6817 of the Fertilizer Act (act) (relating to rules and regulations), the Department of Agriculture (Department) is given authority to promulgate rules and regulations necessary for administration and implementation of Chapter 68 of the act (relating to fertilizer). Under 7 Pa. Code Chapter 73 (relating to fertilizers), specifically § 73.2 (relating to fertilizer terms, names and definitions), the fertilizer terms used will be those contained in the current edition of the Official Publication of the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials, Inc. and except as the Secretary designates otherwise in specific cases, the names and definitions for commercial fertilizers will be those adopted by the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials.

 The Department gives notice that the official fertilizer term ''Mined Seabird Guano'' has been withdrawn by the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials and therefore withdrawn from the terms, names and definitions for fertilizers recognized and utilized by the Department.

 Mined Seabird Guano—A mined, dry and hardened fecal excrement from marine birds.
