Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC Program); 2024 WIC Public Comment Sessions

[Saturday, April 27, 2024]In accordance with 7 CFR 246.4(b) (relating to State plan), the Department of Health (Department), Bureau of Women, Infants and Children, has scheduled the following five public comment sessions to provide the general public an opportunity to comment on the development of the 2025 State Plan for the Pennsylvania Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC Program).
The Department values the public's feedback and suggestions on improving the WIC Program and encourages the public to participate.
The 2024 WIC public comment sessions will be held in person, virtually and telephonically. Scheduled sessions are in Eastern Standard Time as follows:
1. Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Hosanna House, 807 Wallace Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221.
2. Friday, May 3, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Hamilton Health Center, 110 South 17th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17104.
3. Friday, May 3, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., 556 West Fourth Street, Erie, PA 16507.
4. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., 3401 Hartzdale Drive, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
5. Friday, May 17, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., 1034 Park Avenue, Meadville, PA 16335.

These public comment sessions are just for the public to share their opinion with the Department. The Department will not be presenting any material.
The sessions will be recorded. Individuals choosing to participate are consenting to being recorded.
These public comment sessions are subject to cancellation without notice.
For anyone unable to attend a session, the Department will accept comments by e-mail at ra-wicprogram@pa.gov, or to the Department of Health, Bureau of Women, Infants and Children (WIC), 625 Forster Street, 7 West, Health and Welfare Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120. Comments must be submitted no later than May 31, 2024.
