Availability of Education Awards from the National Service Trust

   PennSERVE--The PA State Commission announce the availability of education awards from the National Service Trust (AmeriCorps) through a simplified application process for community service programs that can support most or all of the AmeriCorps Member and program costs from sources other than the Corporation for National Service. Applications can be obtained by calling PennSERVE (717) 787-1971. A pre-application conference will be offered at the Forum Building, Room G-50, Harrisburg, PA on December 17, 1996, from 1-3 p.m. In addition, PennSERVE--The PA State Commission and the Corporation for National Service will consider requests for up to $1,000 per new full-time Member (pro-rated for a part-time Member) to manage these programs. A Letter of Intent is required (due: December 23, 1996) and the application is due to PennSERVE, February 3, 1997, by 4 p.m.
