The Ohio Casualty Insurance Company; West American Insurance Company; American Fire and Casualty Company; Homeowner's Insurance

   On September 2, 1997, the Insurance Department received from The Ohio Casualty Insurance Company, West American Insurance Company, and American Fire and Casualty Company a filing for a rate level change for Homeowner's insurance.

   The companies request an overall 14.3% increase amounting to $2.4 million annually, to be effective November 1, 1997, for new business and December 23, 1997, for renewal business.

   Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to November 1, 1997, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

   Copies of the filing will be available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Insurance Department's offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Erie.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Michael P. McKenney, Insurance Department, Bureau of Regulation of Rates and Policies, Room 1311, Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
