Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

   The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Publication of this notice shall be considered as sufficient notice to all carriers holding authority from this Commission. Applications will be considered without hearing in the absence of protests to the application. Protests to the applications published herein are due on or before April 24, 2000, as set forth at 52 Pa. Code § 3.381 (relating to applications for transportation of property and persons). The protests shall also indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application or the permanent application or both.

Applications of the following for approval of the beginning of the exercise of the right and privilege of operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

   A-00116691.  Assured Claimant Transport Service Inc. (259 Acorn Court, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, PA 17055), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons, in paratransit service, between points in the counties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, Schuylkill and York, and from points in said territory, to points in Pennsylvania, and return; subject to the following condition: That service shall be limited to the transportation of insurance claimants where compensation is remitted by the claimant or a third party entity. Applications of the following for amendment to the certificate of public convenience approving the operation of motor vehicles as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

   A-00114509, Folder 1, Am-A. Elite Coach Limousine, Inc. (3797 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, Westmoreland County, PA 15668), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons, in limousine service, between points in the counties of Cambria, Indiana and Westmoreland, and from points in said counties, to points in Pennsylvania, and return; subject to the following conditions: (1) transportation to points in the county of Washington shall be limited to transportation to the facilities of the Coca Cola Star Lake Amphitheater; That no right, power or privilege: (2) is granted to provide service to or from the Westmoreland County Airport in Unity Township, Westmoreland County; (3) is granted to provide service to or from the Laurel Valley Country Club or the Rolling Rock Country Club located in Westmoreland County, except for weddings; (4) is granted to transport persons from that portion of Westmoreland County located on or east of U. S. Route 119, or from the city of Greensburg to the Pittsburgh International Airport in the township of Findlay, Allegheny County; and (5) is granted to provide service from funeral homes or service to or from funeral homes for persons attending funerals: So as to permit the transportation of persons, in limousine service, between points in the counties of Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette and Washington, and from points in said counties, to points in Pennsylvania, and return. Applications of the following for amendment to the contract carrier permit approving the operation of motor vehicles as contract carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

   A-00116251.  Folder 1, Am-A. L & S Transportation, Incorporated (104 Hoffman Road, Wingap, Northampton County, PA 18091)--persons attending bingo games, for Astor Bingo Hall, from points in the city of Allentown, Lehigh County, to its facilities located in the city of Allentown, Lehigh County; subject to the following condition: That service will be provided in vehicles with seating capacity of 15 passengers or less, excluding the driver: So as to permit the transportation of persons attending bingo games: (1) for Astor Bingo Hall, from the counties of Lehigh and Northampton, to its facilities located in the city of Allentown, Lehigh County; and (2) for St. Francis Church, from the counties of Lehigh and Northampton, to its facilities located in the city of Allentown, Lehigh County; subject to the following condition: That service will be provided in vehicles with seating capacity of 15 passengers or less, excluding the driver.

Application of the following for approval of the beginning of the exercise of the right and privilege of operating motor vehicles as common carriers for the transportation of household goods as described under each application.

   A-00116710.  Pennysaver Direct, Inc., t/d/b/a Two Guys & A Truck (1218 West 38th Street, Erie, Erie County, PA 16508), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--household goods in use, between points in the counties of Erie and Crawford, and from points in said counties, to points in Pennsylvania, and vice versa. Application of the following for approval of the beginning of the exercise of the right and privilege of operating motor vehicles as common carriers for the transportation of household goods by transfer as described under each application.

   A-00116706.  Arcade Moving & Storage Co., Inc. (956 Rye Valley Drive, Meadowbrook, Montgomery County, PA 19046), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--household goods in use: (1) between points in the city and county of Philadelphia; and (2) from points in the city and county of Philadelphia, to other points in Pennsylvania within an airline radius of 150 statute miles of the City Hall in the said city, provided that no more than 12 trips per year shall be made to or from points farther than 25 statute miles by airline distance from said City Hall, and provided further that reports of such trips shall be filed with the Commission immediately after they are made; and (3) property, excluding household goods in use, between points in Pennsylvania; which is to be a transfer of all of the rights authorized under the certificate issued at A-00096905 to Emanuel Rasper, t/d/b/a Arcade Storage Company, subject to the same limitations and conditions.
