Service of Notice of Motor Carrier Applications

   The following temporary authority and/or permanent authority applications for the right to render service as a common carrier or contract carrier in this Commonwealth have been filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Formal protests and petitions to intervene must be filed in accordance with 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities). A protest shall indicate whether it applies to the temporary authority application, the permanent authority application, or both. Filings must be made with the Secretary, Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, P. O. Box 3265, Harrisburg, PA 17105-3265, with a copy served on the applicant by September 18, 2006. Documents filed in support of the applications are available for inspection and copying at the Office of the Secretary between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at the business address of the respective applicant.

Applications of the following for approval to begin operating as common carriers for transportation of persons as described under each application.

   A-00123039. William Kevin Johnson t/a Johnson Transport (1946 Riverside Drive, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA 19154)--persons in paratransit service, from points in the County of Philadelphia, to all State and Federal Correctional Institutions, located in Pennsylvania, and return.

   A-00123040. Clyde L. Jackson, Jr. (43084 Buells Corners Road, Spartansburg, Crawford County, PA 16434)--persons whose personal convictions prevent them from owning or operating motor vehicles, in paratransit service, between points in the Borough of Spartansburg, Crawford County, and within an airline distance of 100 statute miles of the limits of said borough.

Applications of the following for approval of the beginning of the exercise of the right and privilege of operating motor vehicles as common carriers for the transportation of persons by transfer of rights as described under each application.

(1766 West Market Street, Bethlehem, Northampton County, PA 18018), a corporation of the Commonwealth--persons upon call or demand, in the City of Bethlehem, Northampton and Lehigh Counties; the Lehigh Valley International Airport (formerly the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton Airport) located in the Township of Hanover, Lehigh County; the Borough of Fountain Hill, Lehigh County; the Boroughs of Freemansburg and Hellertown, both in Northampton County; and the Townships of Bethlehem and Lower Saucon, both in Northampton County; which is to be a transfer of all the rights authorized under the certificate issued at A-00088477, F. 2, F. 2, Am-A, Am-B and Am-C to Lehigh Valley Taxicab Company, Inc., subject to the same limitations and conditions. (1766 West Market Street, Bethlehem, Northampton County, PA 18018), a corporation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania--persons in airport transfer service, between the Lehigh Valley International Airport (formerly the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton Airport) located in the township of Hanover, Lehigh County, and points within an airline distance of 50 statute miles of the limits of said airport; subject to the following conditions: (1) that all transportation must either originate or terminate at the previously named airport; and (2) the service herein authorized is limited to transportation in vehicles have a seating capacity of not more than 15 persons including the driver, without the use of dome lights or taximeters and the right to transport persons in airport transfer service from the Lehigh Valley International Airport located in the Township of Hanover, Lehigh County, to any other airport located in Pennsylvania, limited to transportation where the persons were diverted or stranded passengers; which is to be a transfer of all the rights authorized under the certificate issued at A-00088477, F.4, F.4, Am-A, F.4, Am-B and F.4, Am-C to Lehigh Valley Taxicab Company, Inc., subject to the same limitations and conditions. Michael Odell Pettus t/a Pettus Taxi Service (2909 McKelvey Road Extension, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, PA 15221)--inter alia-- persons, upon call or demand, in the City of Pittsburgh, the Township of Mt. Lebanon and the Boroughs of Green Tree, Dormont, Edgewood, McKees Rocks, Etna, Sharpsburg, Aspinwall, Crafton, Mt. Oliver, Homestead, Swissvale, Wilkinsburg, Forest Hills, Rankin and Churchill, all located in Allegheny County: Subject to the following condition: That Michael Odell Pettus, t/a Pettus Taxi Service shall not have greater than five taxicabs in service at any time: So As To Permit: (1) the transportation of persons, upon call or demand, in Penn Hills, Monroeville, East Pittsburgh, and McKeesport, all located in Allegheny County; and (2) removal of the condition listed previously.
