The project will result in 27 linear feet of temporary stream impacts and 19,244 square feet of temporary wetland impacts from waterlines and temporary mat crossings. These crossings will accumulate a total of 0.44 acres of PEM wetland impacts for the purpose of establishing temporary water supply for Marcellus well development.

Project Description/Location: This project involves the discharge of 7.5 MGD for 15-20 days of supernatant from the Fort Mifflin confined disposal facility (CDF) resulting from the routine maintenance dredging at three berths collectively called the McFarland Berths. Approximately 75,000 cubic yards of sediment will be removed by hydraulic cutterhead dredging and placed in the CDF located at the confluence of the Schuylkill and Delaware Rivers. Sediments will settle out in the basin and the supernatant will be returned to the Delaware Estuary.
