 The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is soliciting bids for the following projects. Bid documents can be obtained from the Administrative Services Section, Bureau of Facility Design and Construction at (717) 787-5055:

FDC-003-7210.1—Structure Replacement—Bridge No. 03-0033, Gunter Valley Road over Trout Run, Forest District 3, Tuscarora State Forest, Lurgan Township, Franklin County. Work included under this contract consists of demolition of existing structure No. 28-7935-5103-0033 consisting of an existing steel I-girders bearing on bare grounds. It will be replaced with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert and precast concrete end sections with a 15-foot clear roadway width. The box culvert will have an 18`-6" span and a 6`-6" rise. Replacement includes driving surface aggregates, rock lining and architectural surface treatment. Bid documents will be available on or after March 20, 2013. The bid opening will be held on April 18, 2013.

FDC-012-7545.1—Structure Replacement—Bridge No. 12-0040, Limbaugh Road over English Run, Forest District 12, Tiadaghton State Forest, Cummings Township, Lycoming County. Work included under this contract consists of demolition of existing structure No. 41-7935-5112-0040 consisting of an existing steel I-beam bridge on stone masonry abutment with a 21` clear span and a temporary bridge spanning over the top of the original bridge, replacing it with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert (22` span and 8`-6" high) and precast concrete end sections, installing driving surface aggregate, rock lining, architectural surface treatment and guiderail including end treatments. Bid documents will be available on or after March 20, 2013. The bid opening will be held on April 18, 2013.

FDC-417-7226.1—General Construction, Connect Office to Park Water Supply, Ricketts Glen State Park, Fair-mount and Colley Townships, Luzerne and Sullivan Counties. Work included under this contract consists of the complete construction of a potable water connection between the existing potable water distribution system at Ricketts Glen State Park and the park office with approximately 1,500` of 3" diameter HDPE SDR-11 pipe through horizontal directional drilling; installation of two preengineered, water tight valve vaults with hatches each comprising of a 3" ball valve; 1/2" pressure gauge/ball valve; 2" air/vacuum release valve (in east vault only); 1/2" ball valve sampling port; drain to daylight system; and other appurtenance necessary to support the valves and piping; saw cutting and trenching the paved road where indicated on the drawing and connecting the new 3" HDPE pipe to the existing 4" cast iron distribution pipe. The work shall be backfilled and road restored. A 3" ball valve shall be installed in the road berm, as shown on the drawing; connect the new 3" HDPE pipe to the existing office water supply well's 2" galvanized steel pipe; provide and install a 3" HDPE tee and 3" ball valve and box on west side of lake as shown on the drawing and stub valve for future use by others; abandon the existing supply well per Department of Environmental Protection well abandonment guidelines and most recent revision of AWWA Standard for Water Well, A100. Bid documents will be available on or after March 20, 2013. The bid opening will be held on April 18, 2013.

FDC-422-7663.1—Nockamixon Dam Rehabilitation, Nockamixon State Park, Bedminster and Nockamixon Townships, Bucks County. Work included under this contract consists of the complete construction and installation work for the following:

 a. Control of all streamflow, surface water and groundwater away from the work area, as needed, to complete construction.

 b. Service the existing 60" diameter Howell-Bunger fixed cone dispersion valve. The hex screws and nuts that fasten the valve to the conduit should be replaced. The valve shall be cleaned, cleared of rust and painted. The stem for the valve shall be replaced.

 c. Clean and paint the 10" diameter cast-iron low flow pipe.

 d. Removal of the existing 10" gate valve near the upstream end of the 10" diameter cast iron low flow pipe hanging from the ceiling of the left outlet conduit and installation of a new 10" gate valve assembly.

 e. Remove compression fitting that is leaking at the near downstream end of the pipe and install a new compression fitting.

 f. Remove the 10" cone valve, gearing mechanism and operating mechanism at the downstream end of the pipe and install a new 10" cone valve, gearing mechanism and operating mechanism

 g. Remove the deteriorated steel beam and adjacent concrete that is supporting the pipe near the downstream end and install a new beam embedded into the conduit with new concrete.

 Bid documents will be available on or after March 20, 2013. The bid opening will be held on April 18, 2013.

FDC-427-7618.1—Structure Replacement—Bridge No. 6427-1106 (PW 4452), Sycamore Mills Road Trail over Big Run, Ridley Creek State Park, Edgmont Township, Delaware County. Work included under this contract consists of demolition of existing structure No. 23-7935-6427-1106 consisting of an existing 60" corrugated metal pipe with stone masonry headwalls. It will be replaced with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert and precast concrete end sections with an 18` clear roadway width. The box culvert will have a 14` span and a 6` rise. Replacement includes bituminous pavement, rock lining and architectural surface treatment. Bid documents will be available on or after March 20, 2013. The bid opening will be held on April 18, 2013.
