Application for Merger of Spartan Plan PA, Inc. with and into Spartan Plan VA, Inc.

 An application has been received requesting approval of the merger of Spartan Plan PA, Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Spartan-PA), with and into Spartan Plan VA, Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia (Spartan-VA). Spartan-PA is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to operate a health maintenance organization. Spartan-VA is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to operate a health maintenance organization. The initial filing was received on December 27, 2019, and was made under Article XIV of The Insurance Company Law of 1921 (40 P.S. §§ 991.1401—991.1413).

 Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest in this merger are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 7 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include the name, address and telephone number of the interested party; identification of the application to which the statement is addressed; and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement.
