Application for Approval to Acquire Control of Rockwood Casualty Insurance Company and Somerset Casualty Insurance Company

 Partners FC II Ltd., an exempted company governed under the laws of Bermuda; Partners FC Ltd., an exempted company governed under the laws of Bermuda; Partners BK Ltd., an exempted company governed under the laws of Bermuda; BAM RE Trustee Ltd., an exempted company governed under the laws of Bermuda; BAM RE Partners Trust, a trust governed under the laws of Bermuda; Brookfield Reinsurance Ltd., an insurance and reinsurance holding company governed under the laws of Bermuda; BAM RE Holdings Ltd., an exempted company governed under the laws of Bermuda; BAMR US Holdings (Bermuda) I Ltd., an exempted company governed under the laws of Bermuda; BAMR US Holdings, LLC, a Delaware domiciled limited liability company; BNRE Triangle Acquisition, Inc., a Delaware domiciled intermediate holding company; Brian Kingston; and James ''Bruce'' Flatt have filed an application to acquire control of Rockwood Casualty Insurance Company and Somerset Casualty Insurance Company, both Pennsylvania domiciled stock casualty insurance companies. The filings were received on March 21, 2023, and were made under the requirements of Article XIV of The Insurance Company Law of 1921 (40 P.S. §§ 991.1401—991.1414).

 Persons wishing to comment on the acquisitions are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 30 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include the name, address and telephone number of the interested party; identification of the application to which the statement is addressed; and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement. Written statements must be e-mailed to Lori Rumpf, lrumpf@pa.gov. Comments received will be part of the public record regarding the filings and will be forwarded to the applicants for appropriate response.
