[53 Pa.B. 5666]
[Saturday, September 9, 2023]

The Department of Environmental Protection (Department), Bureau of Air Quality, announces the closure of the Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Rebate Program (Program) under the Driving PA Forward Program effective at 11:59 p.m. on September 22, 2023.

Applications submitted and vouchers awarded have resulted in funding capacity being reached for the Program.

In accordance with the Program guidelines, a waitlist process of accepting applications should additional funding become available by means of unfulfilled vouchers has been implemented. Holders of Program vouchers will be able to apply for a single time extension as per the Program guidelines in effect at the time of the application. Applicants may apply for a rebate voucher until September 22, 2023, but will be placed on the waitlist. Applications for the Program will not be accepted after September 22, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.

The Program has operated nearly continuously since September 2018, and is projected to help deploy over 2,600 Level 2 EV charging plugs across this Commonwealth at public spaces, workplaces and multiunit dwellings, with over 40% of all projects deployed in underserved and disadvantaged communities.

Application instructions and details on qualifying project costs and equipment are available on the Driving PA Forward web site at http://www.depgis.state.pa.us/DrivingPAForward/.

The Department will only accept rebate applications submitted through the Department of Community and Economic Development's Electronic Single Application web site, eGrants, at https://www.esa.dced.state.pa.us/Login.aspx.
