§ 21.70. Strength tests.
The following species are commonly associated with others of the same genus under the American Lumber Standards nomenclature but no strength tests have been made on them at Forest Products Laboratory:
Birch Nigra. Hickory Ovalisi. Red oak Quercus borealis maxima, shumardii, texana, palustris, rubra pagodaefolia, ellipsoidalis, coccinea, marilandica, kelloggii, and catesbaei. White oak Lyrata, muehlenbergii, garryana, lobata, virginana, douglasii, utahensis, emozyi, arizonica, and oblongifolia. Pecan Cordi formis elongata, myristicaeformis, and aquatica. Red alder Rhombifolia. Hackberry Laevigata. Basswood Heterophylla. Buckeye Glabra. Chestnut Pumila. Cottonwood Deltoides virginiana, heterophylla, and sargentii. Populus trichocarpa, macdougalii, and fremontii. White ash Pennsylvanica.
