§ 17.12. Young Mens Christian Association names.
In section 5303(c)(1)(iv) of the NPCL (relating to corporate name) it is provided that the name of a nonprofit corporation may not contain the words Young Mens Christian Association or other words implying that the corporation is affiliated with the State Young Mens Christian Association of Pennsylvania unless the corporation is incorporated for the purpose of the improvement of the spiritual, mental, social and physical condition of young people, by the support and maintenance of lecture rooms, libraries, reading rooms, religious and social meetings, gymnasiums and other means and services as may conduce the accomplishment of that object, according to the general rules and regulations of the State association.
